We love wine. You love wine. If you don’t, we’re kind of surprised you’re here. But welcome! While we believe that almost everything is a wine suitable occasion, we see no issue with wanting to spice things up every now and again. It’s also a great hack to freshen up a bottle of red that’s been open for a few days or a delicious way to enjoy a low alcohol tipple.
Who doesn’t love mixing things up with a jug of red sangria in the summer, right? To keep your dinner party interesting, we have created a simple yet delicious Shiraz and lemonade cocktail. Topped with some sliced orange and ice, you’ve got yourself a favourite next time you’re hosting.

You had me at pink lemonade. Then we added blueberries, watermelon and lemon and lime! Woah! This personal favourite is the perfect Rosé punch to enjoy poolside this summer. Add on a barbeque and some friends, you have the perfect Sunday Funday.
1 bottle of The Vegan Wine Project Rosé
1 cup of blueberries
1 cup of watermelon balls
375ml of pink lemonade
750ml of lemon-lime soda
Combine the wine, blueberries, watermelon and pink lemonade and refrigerate for at least one hour. Pour into a glass, topping each with a dash of lemon-lime soda, and voilà, a delicious and easy summer punch! Serves 10.
Every red wine lover gets a little uneasy in the warmer months. While you love the sunshine, sometimes it just doesn’t pair the same with Shiraz as crisp air and an open fire does. This Red Berry Spritzer is where red wine meets sparkle. For a plant-based sweetener, we’ve opted for Agave syrup in this one, which is available in most supermarkets. If you can’t find it, any other plant-based sweetener should do the trick.
375ml of The Vegan Wine Project Shiraz
½ cup of sliced strawberries
½ cup of blueberries
½ teaspoon of agave syrup
1 lime, juiced
250ml of soda water
Sprig of mint
In a glass, add ice, strawberries, blueberries, agave and lime juice. Stir until all combined. Once settled, add wine, soda water and mint to the glass and enjoy the spritzer! Serves 4-6.
Rosé recently took over diamonds as a girl’s best friend. And it’s easy to see why. It’s the best of both worlds (white and red) while being far less costly than a lump of pressurised coal. Frosé has been done but the bittersweet addition of grapefruit takes it from simple slushy to summer suave. The perfect way to keep things cool.
250ml of The Vegan Wine Project Rosé
250ml of grapefruit juice
½ cup of ice
Raspberries and thyme for garnishing
Combine the Rosé, grapefruit juice, and ice in a large jug and blend until smooth. Once combined, pour carefully into your cocktail glass. Add a few raspberries on a skewer with a hint of thyme. Sit back and enjoy! Serves 2.
