The Details

Tasting Note Pale white yellow in colour with a slight hint of green. Floral aromas of gardenia combine with layers of honeydew, cantelope and watermelon with a touch of pink rose petal and bath salts. The palate reveals fruit flavours of pear, lychee and green apple mingled with cinnamon and clove spice. The texture is gently viscous and moreish, finishing with lime acidity and freshness.
Best Enjoyed With Enjoy with crumbed Tasmanian flathead fillets and potato wedges or seaweed rice crackers with lemon chilli hummus.
Treatment The winemaking process involved two distinct batches. The first was crafted with minimal intervention, allowing the natural vineyard yeasts to drive fermentation. The second batch was inoculated with select yeasts and later blended with the first, enhancing the wine's complexity and adding extra layers of dimension.

Accolades

Ideal Friday afternoon drinking
A ripping Tassie Pinot Gris, this release from Parish Vineyards is ideal Friday afternoon drinking that will take the heat out of your long work week. From the north of the island in Evandale, delicate florals and texture are the key features. Poached pears, brown Nashi pear, green apple plus a little quartz and river stone pulse. That drive and softly softly approach have me coming back for more, and I'm sure it will have the same impact for you. This is a great and considered Pinot Gris. Drink now.
